Will the Excel to PDF conversion keep my fonts and formatting?

Headings, lists, tables and images are kept, and the fonts used are embedded in the PDF, so it looks the same in every viewer. A font that is not installed on our conversion servers (Calibri, for example) is replaced with a similar one, so line breaks can shift. An image file becomes a PDF page that shows the image.
Is the PDF searchable / selectable text?

Yes when the Excel contains real text (DOCX, ODT, HTML, TXT, EPUB). Image-based Excel produces an image-only PDF — to make it searchable, run /pdf-ocr/ after conversion to apply optical character recognition.
Can I password-protect the PDF after conversion?

Not in this tool — convert Excel to PDF first, then use the dedicated /pdf-* tools to add a password, watermark, or restrict editing on the resulting file.
Is my Excel file private during PDF conversion?

Yes. Uploaded Excel files are processed on our own conversion servers, no person reviews them, and they are never shared. The upload and the converted PDF are both deleted automatically about 24 hours after the conversion, which leaves time to download the result. See /privacy/ for the full policy.
Does the converter work with scanned Excel pages?

Yes — a scanned-page Excel (JPG, PNG, TIFF, WebP) converts straight to PDF. If you need the PDF to be text-searchable, follow up with /pdf-ocr/ to run OCR over the scanned pages.
Can I convert Excel to PDF and email it directly?

Not from the converter UI itself. After download, attach the PDF to your usual email client. The PDF file is portable and works with every modern PDF reader (Acrobat, Preview, Chrome, Edge, Firefox).
