PPTX to PDF Optimization FAQ
Will the PPTX to PDF conversion keep my fonts and formatting?
+
Headings, lists, tables and images are kept, and the fonts used are embedded in the PDF, so it looks the same in every viewer. A font that is not installed on our conversion servers (Calibri, for example) is replaced with a similar one, so line breaks can shift. An image file becomes a PDF page that shows the image. PPTX is the Office Open XML presentation format PowerPoint has used by default since 2007.
Is the PDF searchable / selectable text?
+
Yes when the PPTX contains real text (DOCX, ODT, HTML, TXT, EPUB). Image-based PPTX produces an image-only PDF — to make it searchable, run /pdf-ocr/ after conversion to apply optical character recognition.
Can I password-protect the PDF after conversion?
+
Not in this tool — convert PPTX to PDF first, then use the dedicated /pdf-* tools to add a password, watermark, or restrict editing on the resulting file.
Is my PPTX file private during PDF conversion?
+
Yes. Uploaded PPTX files are processed on our own conversion servers, no person reviews them, and they are never shared. The upload and the converted PDF are both deleted automatically about 24 hours after the conversion, which leaves time to download the result. See /privacy/ for the full policy.
Does the converter work with scanned PPTX pages?
+
Yes — a scanned-page PPTX (JPG, PNG, TIFF, WebP) converts straight to PDF. If you need the PDF to be text-searchable, follow up with /pdf-ocr/ to run OCR over the scanned pages.
Can I convert PPTX to PDF and email it directly?
+
Not from the converter UI itself. After download, attach the PDF to your usual email client. The PDF file is portable and works with every modern PDF reader (Acrobat, Preview, Chrome, Edge, Firefox).
